Are you feeling tired and stressed? Are you sick of your shoulder aching by the end of a day at work? Massage could help you to feel more energised, improve your posture and feel more relaxed.
Myofascial pain affects the soft tissue structures of the body, which includes muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia (the connective tissue sheath that encases the muscles).
Massage increases blood flow to the specific areas of the body being treated. It is an extremely effective way to reduce stress, muscle tension and assist in the rehabilitation of injuries. Myotherapy is a form of physical therapy within the allied health profession, and involves a comprehensive approach to assessing, treating and preventing myofascial pain and injury.
Total Physiocare clinics only use qualified myotherapists, who conduct remedial, sports and deep tissue massage, cupping, dry needling, trigger point therapy and relaxation massage.
Whilst massage is a beneficial adjunct to physiotherapy following injury, why not indulge in a massage for yourself or your loved ones just to destress? Massages are a fantastic gift idea as most people know they need some T.L.C., but never make the time to look after their own health. Vouchers are available for purchase from our friendly reception team. Massages can be arranged by appointment. Bookings are essential.
